Tianjin Tuanbo Football Stadium is a professional football stadium located in west district of Tianjin, China. The stadium has a maximum capacity of 23,000 spectators. And many domestic and international sports games were held in the stadium including 2012 National College Students' Sports Games, 2013 East Asian Games and 2017 National Games. To protect the stadium and ensure the smooth running of games and events, a comprehensive CCTV surveillance solution was needed.
Monitoring such a large stadium is a huge challenge. With plenty of audience flow in and out of the stadium, it is vitally important to ensure a secure environment for the safety of all people in attendance, requiring security staff to keep an eye on every corner of the venue. Together with our local integrator, Rancent implemented a integral surveillance solution consisting of PTZ high-speed domes, fixed cameras, fiber optic transceivers and embedded DVRs, providing essential monitoring of more than 20,000 people during different events and matches to secure the stadium.
These units allow the security staff to effectively monitor the on-site status throughout the stadium such as the football ground, entrances and exits. The project is offering a 24/7 surveillance solution by using PTZ speed domes together with fixed units. Inside the stadium, the PTZ high speed domes were preferred for 360° monitoring . The PTZ domes offer high quality video in the resolution of 550 TVL as well as featuring 400°/s pan preset speed and 150°/s tilt preset speed, these allow the security staff to quickly track and zoom in on individuals to acquire details clearly, and take rapid action. By contrast, the fixed color cameras were installed at the stadium entrances and exits. Rancent 4-channel fiber optic transmission units were used to handle signals collected from these PTZ speed domes and fixed cameras installed inside and outside the stadium to the main control room for real-time monitoring and video recording. Also visitors can see the cameras and know someone is monitoring them. This acts as a deterrent against petty criminal acts such as vandalism, theft and sneaking in without a ticket.
As there are many monitoring points in different locations throughout the stadium, the surveillance system needs to support multi-channel video viewing to monitor the on-site status. To accommodate this, Rancent supplied embedded DVRs that feature 16-channel video preview on one screen simultaneously. The DVRs also support video loop out onto a TV wall, enabling the security staff to have a clearer view on what is happening in the stadium. In addition, with main and auxiliary video outputs, the DVRs can simultaneously support GUI operation and video preview (through auxiliary video output) for on-site status monitoring on a separate screen.
Rancent is dedicated to developing the most advanced fiber optic and video surveillance technology and to making it available in a wide range of applications in sports stadiums or venues worldwide to enable rapid and effective responses to security needs and events.
